Drawbridge
This drawbridge was built out of spruce, basswood, brass chain, nylon rope, paint & glue.
It also was not a copy of any other bridge, but made with the theory on how a drawbridge works

In this picture, the drawbridge was opened. All the gears you see here actually move as the bridge opens and closes.
The gears & music box
Here you can see clearly the gears that move as the bridge is opened & closed. Below & in front of the gears, a music box is set inside a small box. The tune is "Bridge over Troubled Waters".
Backside of the gears
Here is another view of the gears (all handmade & all wood)
Counterweights
Counterweights actually are used to balance the bridge.

The Boat
This little boat was added so as to be a 'maintenance' boat. Basically, it was added more for color and for fun.
